Now in its third generation and approaching its fourth, the Upimar Tannery has been producing leather for almost a century….
Many years have passed since the manual production of the first generation to the current 4.0 production, nevertheless, the leathers produced have remained linked to artisan production.
The leathers are produced on French calfskin coming from certified, super-selected abattoirs.
The whole process is traditional from the point of view of receptivity and articulation but is carried out with 4.0 technology that monitors every step.
All the baths in the wet process are recycled with huge savings in water and chemicals.
All chemicals are carefully selected and analysed before they enter reception, and nothing is left to chance.
The finishing is carried out using all environmentally friendly machinery. Each production lot is traced during processing both for the processing itself and for the batches of chemicals used.

Each hide is treated individually as a work of art and if we don’t like it, we don’t continue with.
Beautiful colours and tactile sensations are our priorities: leather must first of all make you fall in love with the sight and feel of it.
The full process takes place entirely within our factory: we buy the hides from the abattoirs, and they come out as finished skins.
